Dr. Wasserman received his medical degree from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He then completed residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Calgary in Canada in 1993. Following this he then did a fellowship in regional anesthesia at the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
